The Park Regis Kris Kin hotel Dubai recently received the Green Globe certificate for the third year after having met strict requirements set by Green Globe Standard 1.7.
The hotel achieved a score of 80% in 2016 improving from 75% in 2015 and 72% in 2014.
It was made possible by strategic operational changes that helped to reduce energy and water consumption significantly during the period. Energy consumption was reduced by 865,476 kWh resulting in a saving of AED 363,499 (US$ 98.7k) while CO2 emissions were reduced by 424.50 tons which is equivalent to the planting 15,302 tree seedlings grown for 10 years or by 498 acres of forest in one year.
