PATA advances ‘Next Gen’ agenda to India

The Pacific Asia Travel Associaiton (PATA) is looking to explore opportunities for closer cooperation in line with PATA Next Gen principles in India. Last week, PATA’s Chairman, Joao Manuel Costa Antunes held a dialogue with India Minister for Tourism, Subodh Kant Sahai and Rajen Habib Khwaja, Secretary of Ministry of Tourism in India.
“Now with more than 200 members from all sectors of the travel and tourism industry, it has successfully established itself as a leader, advocate and a catalyst for the responsible development of the Indian travel and tourism industry,” said Antunes. He further added that, it should be a priority in India and throughout PATA to cultivate new blood to sustain the industry and embrace Next Gen initiatives.
The Executive Committee of PATA India organised an event to honor the Chairman at the Le Meridien, New Delhi. India’s Secretary of Tourism, Rajen Habib Khwaja who is also the Chairman for PATA India chapter along with Vice Chairman Vikram Madhok welcomed Antunes to India at the dinner.
