Pegasus Airlines recently completed its first year of operations to Dubai. The airline continues to expand launching new destinations. As per statistics, in the first year of operation, the airline has flown 87,318 guests.
Attracting guests from across a number of countries and from various cities within Turkey, 75% of guests flying to Dubai from Istanbul since the beginning of 2013 have been transit passengers. During 2013, most guests flying from Turkey travelled from Ankara, Antalya, Dalaman, Izmir and Trabzon, whilst guests from outside of Turkey have originated mostly from London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris and Stockholm.
Pegasus Airlines’ chief commercial officer Guliz Ozturk said: “Our new flights to Dubai, which began at a frequency of four times a week, were increased to five times weekly flights. We hope to be flying daily in the near future. We have also seen an increase of 11.8% in number of guests flying between Dubai and Istanbul.”
Pegasus Airlines’ flights to Dubai run five times a week in each direction between Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen and Dubai, flying out on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
