Pegasus Lodges & Resorts, which owns the Telo Island Lodge in Indonesia, has launched a new oceanfront property in Samoa.
The Aganoa Lodge Samoa joins the Pegasus portfolio following a partnership with the lodge’s owners, Keith and Lanuola Martin, who have run the property for more than a decade.
Designed mainly as a base for surfers, the lodge is set on the island of Savai’i, which is prized for its surfing reef. The property has been transformed from a rustic beach camp into a modern lodge featuring eight newly-renovated, open-air bungalows, positioned right on the water’s edge. There is also an oceanfront restaurant.
“Aganoa will focus on providing exactly what we do at the Telo Island Lodge: highly attentive service, a small-format offering, seamless logistics, excellent food and uncrowded, consistent surf that fits all ability levels,” Pegasus said in a statement.
Aganoa Lodge Samoa becomes the second member of the Pegasus portfolio, joining the Telo Island Lodge in North Sumatra. And the company also offers cruises in Sumatra and West Papua aboard its boat, Ratu Motu.
