The Phillipines used the culinary skills of celebrity Chef Myrna D Segismundo to promote the country in India through a food festival at the Pan Asian restaurant at the WelcomHotel Sheraton New Delhi last week.Chef Myrna is a well-known TV personality and is attached to Restaurant 9501, the executive dining restaurant of the ABS-CBN Corporation, the largest network in the country. She also conducts a nationwide culinary competition. The Phillipine food festival came in the wake of the launch of the direct Delhi-Manila flights by PAL, and the setting up of the tourist office in India.
