Indonesian hotel group, PHM Hospitality, has unveiled the latest phase of its nationwide expansion.
Jakarta-based PHM currently has just has one midscale 101 property and one upscale Haven hotel, both located in Bali, plus an economy BnB hotel in Jakarta. But the company now plans to launch six more 101 hotels in locations across Indonesia, along with one extra Haven hotel and one BnB.
The latest announcement is the launch of PHM’s first property in Palembang, South Sumatra, which is due to open its doors mid-2014. This follows previous announcements of new 101 hotels being developed in Jakarta, Bogor, Yogyakarta, Bali and Bandung.
The Palembang property, to be known as The 101 Palembang, will be set on a 1,800m² site on the city’s Jalan Rajawali, and will include 141 rooms, a swimming pool, meeting room, coffee shop and gym.
“We are really optimistic and confident to start the year of 2013, as this year we have many projects under development… in major cities in Indonesia,” said PHM’s Managing Director, Kristian Kuntadi. “It is aligned with our goal of being the most preferred hospitality management [company] for hotels and resorts in Indonesia.”
In addition to the 101 expansion, PHM has also announced plans to add new BnB and Haven properties in Bali. Once all the hotels are open, PHM’s Indonesian portfolio will have expanded from three properties to 11, across six destinations.
