Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) resumed services to Colombo on Saturday after the route was decommissioned three years ago.
PIA will operate three return flights a week from Karachi to Colombo, increasing the carrier’s international network to 41 destinations.
To celebrate the renewed connection, Colombo is observing Pakistan Week which promotes Pakistani culture with culinary festivals, trade shows, fashion shows and theatrical performances.
Pakistan High Commission to Colombo has organised the week long festivity in which PIA is also participating.
The event is designed to further strengthen the bonds of friendship between both countries and bring the people of both countries closer.
