With a successful first edition of Piscine Middle East exhibition in the UAE, its organiser GL Events exhibitions is looking at a bigger and better event in 2013.. According to figures announced by exhibition manager, Noemi Petit, more than 3,127 visitors attended the exhibition as well as Cityscape in Abu Dhabi.
“This is an excellent start that promises a bright future for Piscine Middle East and positions it as the major event for the pool and spa industry in the Middle East. The decision to have the exhibition in Abu Dhabi was based on the fact that the UAE are currently building and developing more pools and spas in hotels and residential quarters than any other country in the region,” said Petit to Travel Daily Middle East.
Across the globe a large range of pools are available. However, the pool and spa market in the UAE and the Gulf region has an even greater potential for development than elsewhere given the competitive price of labour.
“The real work starts after the pool is built”, explains Noémi Petit. “Maintaining a clean and hygienic pool is a major challenge, and that’s why Piscine Middle East is working in the region with authorities on water treatment, maintenance, construction, and ground materials among others.”
The main aim is to educate companies and facilities management professionals to ensure continued quality and maintenance of pools and spas.
