Plane drives off runway in the Philippines

A Philippine Airlines (PAL) passenger plane drove into a ditch at Zamboanga airport last week, local media has reported. The Airbus A320 aircraft carrying 98 passengers was taxiing for taking off to Manila when it left the runway and was became stuck in a ditch, according to the Manila Times. Several subsequent flights were delayed as airport ground crew tried to retrieve the stricken aircraft. Pilot error has been blamed for the incident.
