Polynesian Blue posts record profits
Polynesian Blue Airlines has announced a record pre-tax profit of NZ$9.2 million dollars (US$6.4 million) for the financial year 2007/08, up 71% from the previous year. The airline, a joint venture between Virgin Blue and the Government of Samoa, has played a large part in increasing tourism figures to the Pacific islands, and plans to launch a new direct weekly flight between Brisbane and Apia, Samoa, from December this year.
