Portugal conducts India roadshow

Turismo de Portugal conducted a three-city roadshow in India.
The tourism board with a delegate of 20 members held workshop sessions in Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai. Through this marketing initiative, several destination management companies, hoteliers and resort owners interacted with 500 Indian private sector organisation comprising travel companies, tour operators, wedding planners and even film producers and location managers.
As part of its mandate to tap the increasing film industry role in destination promotion, Portugal’s line production company ‘Cinemate’ also travelled with the delegates to interact with the Tamil Nadu, Kannada and Mumbai film industry officials.
Commenting on the delegation visit, Claudia Miguel, Trade Relations for Marketing and Promotion Division for Tourism of Portugal said, “The workshop provided a platform for the Portuguese delegation to interact and establish commercial relationships with Indian travel agents, tour operators, wedding planners and corporate travel agencies to further boost Portugal’s image as Europe’s premier leisure and MICE destination that offers value for money.”
