Preps for Oman Tourism Summit get underway

Oman is gearing up for an action-packed Oman Tourism Summit that will shed light on new developments in tourism. The event scheduled to be held from 14-15 December 2015 will take place at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
HE J S Mukul, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman will be focusing on ‘Tourism in Oman with special focus on India-Oman tourism ties’
“Oman and India boast tremendous potential as tourist destinations. The India-Oman tourism flows are strong and buoyant going forward. We could also leverage the India-Oman connectivity and closeness to attract third country tourist,” added Mukul.
The other speakers at for the event include Filippo Sona, director, head of hotels (MENA Region), Colliers International who will speak on lack of internationally branded mid-market hotels and serviced apartments and Jessica Asher, founder & solutions provider, Socioholics on the changing nature of social media.
The Summit is being held under the broader theme ‘Investments in Oman’s Tourism Sector towards propelling National Growth’ aimed at attracting domestic and foreign investment, facilitating strategic economic development and job creation.
