- How has the year panned out for Prince Hotel & Residence?
This beginning of this year is looking positive and we hope that the trend will remain and gets better through the year. Our strategy this year will see more focus on yield management to increase average rate and high level of effort on training programmes to continue to provide the best service to our guests.
- What are your expectations from 2013?
Our expectation is an increase in the average rate and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- What is the percentage of leisure versus business visitors that Prince Hotel & Residence receives?
We have a clear 30% leisure and 70% business segmentation.
- Are there any expansions in the pipeline or new additions to the hotel?
We are not looking at any refurbishment or expansion at this stage but there is a possibility of refurbishment and upgrading toward the third quarter of 2013 or early 2014
- Which are your top guest countries?
Asia countries remain as our strongest market in particularly Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong/China. We are looking at developing other new market within ASEAN countries.
- How do you look at promoting Prince Hotel & Residence to international markets?
We are promoting the hotel via participation in international trade shows such as ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), Arabian Travel Market (ATM). Besides that, we are also placing higher priority on digital marketing to increase awareness and pushing promotions/deal through our hotel’s official website.
- How important is the Middle East market for you? What is the percentage of ME guests for Prince Hotel & Residence?
The Middle East market will continue to be a key market and we are still seeing a high demand. We strongly believe it is due to the hotel facilities, availability of apartments and location within the city. It contributes to about 18% of our market share.
- Would you look at working exclusively with key agents here in the Middle East to promote your property?
We are not working exclusively with any agent in particular but certainly working with the key agents to promote our property.
