Specialist charter operator Air Charter Service has confirmed that its July figures for private jet bookings are the healthiest on record, with over 800 flights booked in the month.
Ruan Courtney, group executive jets director, commented: “We booked more than 800 flights in July meaning that, on average, an ACS private jet flight departed every 55 minutes throughout the entirety of the month. The summer period is traditionally the busiest time for private jet charters, as our regular corporate business is boosted by leisure travel.
“We are seeing a slight shift in our clients’ buying behaviour – many are booking smaller aircraft, but more regularly. We are also winning new business as people move away from fractional ownership and traditional hourly jet cards, some preferring ad-hoc charters whilst others switch to our take on the jet card. People are looking for flexibility and value when chartering and we feel that the Lindbergh Card offers just that. It seems as though our customers agree, as card sales have far exceeded our projections.”
Courtney also confirmed that Europe had remained “strong” for the company but he was “particularly pleased” with North American, Asian and African results.
