Turkish Airlines has seen its net profits increase from TL19 million (GBP66.9m) to GBP412bn for 2012 year-on-year.
The carrier’s sales revenue went up 26% to GBP5.4bn with its operating profit nearly tripled (192%) to GBP379m.
Last year the airline carried 39 million passengers, an increase of 20% and added 32 new routes throughout the year.
“Positive 2012 financial results, despite the 18 percent growth, should be accepted as an indicator of positive financial results for 2013,” a statement from the airline said. “Going forward, Turkish Airlines set ambitious goals for the upcoming 10 years and accelerated its’ operations to reach the aforementioned goals.”
