Shanghai International Airport Co, operator of the city’s Pudong airport, will increase the operating capacity of Shanghai hub, the Shanghai Daily has reported. Without giving details, the company said it would increase landing slots for “significantly” next year as the city prepares for the World Expo in 2010.
“The expansion will be a major source for our profit growth next year,” said company President, Jia Ruijun. Take offs and landings in the city rose 7.6% to 440,809 last year, the report said.
