QAIA charts 10% growth for June

The Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) maintained its growth in passengers and aircraft movements during the first half of 2014 (H1). As per recent statistics, passenger (PAX) traffic for June 2014 witnessed a growth of 10.47% over June 2013, and 12.94% over YTD June ‘13.
Aircraft Movements (ACMs) movements showed a growth of 9.19% over June ‘13 registering the highest number of ACMs and 8.59% growth over YTD June ‘13.
Positive momentum was witnessed through the first half of 2014 on the routes and network development side, with additional new services, carriers and frequencies added/announced.
In terms of ACMs, the top five airlines in descending order were Royal Jordanian, National Air Services, Middle East Airlines, Egypt Air and Royal Falcon.
