QAIA passengers dip 3.5% in November 2012

Airport International Group (AIG)’s Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), recently announced its November traffic results wherein passenger traffic at QAIA reached 454,984 passengers, witnessing a 3.5% drop compared to November 2011.
The latest figures pushed the year-to-date passenger numbers to 5,808,760 from January to the end of November. This figure compares to 5,036,776 for the same period in 2011, representing a 15.3% increase. Simultaneously, aircraft movements also witnessed a drop of 0.2% compared to the same month last year, registering 5,242 aircraft movement, taking the total year-to-date figures to 62,025 aircraft movements, up 6.3% over the same period last year.
AIG CEO Kjeld Binger said: “QAIA looks poised to surpass the figure of six million annual passengers. The opening of the new terminal will allow the airport to service a greater number of passengers and flights.”
