The month of August was record-breaking for Airport International Group’s (AIG) Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) which welcomed over 700,000 passengers. During August 2014, PAX increased by 13.2% to reach 785,685 PAX while ACM rose by 12% to come in at 7,242 ACM, as opposed to the same month last year.
Since the beginning of 2014 and up until August, year-to-date (YTD) PAX and ACM statistics surged by 12.1% and 9.1% respectively compared to August 2013, registering at 4,939,973 PAX and 49,626 ACM.
“This achievement recorded during August was mainly led by an increase in passenger traffic to and from Turkey, Egypt and the GCC region. We eagerly look forward to reaching even greater heights in the future,” said AIG CEO Kjeld Binger.
