Qantas expands Premium Economy services

Qantas has announced that its will retro-fit six of its two class Boeing 747s to include 40 Premium Economy seats. The new class will be available on the airline’s Tokyo route from October 2010 and the Frankfurt route from February 2011, adding to its existing Premium Economy services to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Johannesburg, London, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Buenos Aires. The class offers an extra wide, Recaro-designed seat that reclines nine-inches, and features an in-arm touch-screen video monitor. Customers are also offers pre-take off refreshments, including Champagne, a special menu and wine selection, and a self-service bar.
