Qantas plans new domestic fuel surcharge hike

Qantas announced today that it will again increase the fuel surcharge on domestic, regional and Tasman air fares. Increases of up to AU$10 (US$10.09) per sector will apply to domestic and regional fares for tickets issued on or after 31 March. Increases of up to 8% will also apply to Tasman fares. Qantas Group said it expects its fuel costs to rise to AU$2 billion in the second half of this financial year.
