Qantas to boost frequency to Dallas
Qantas will commence daily flights between Sydney and Dallas Fort Worth by July next year. The flagship carrier currently operates four weekly flights along this route, which began in May this year. Capacity will grow to six services per week on 15 January 2012 and to seven per week on 1 July 2012. The route is served by a three-class Boeing 747-400ER which is currently being reconfigured with Qantas’ A380-style cabins.
Qantas passengers will benefit from greater connectivity across the US provided by the carrier’s partnership with American Airlines, part of Qantas’ new international strategy based on serving key global airports and developing stronger relationships with airline partners.
Group Executive of Qantas Airlines Commercial, Rob Gurney, said; “We are delighted to be offering more frequent flights to Dallas Fort Worth after the successful launch of the route. This announcement is all about putting our gateway strategy into action and building a stronger Qantas International for our customers.”
