Qantas yesterday announced that it would increase services to hubs in Western Australia. The airline’s Regional General Manager for Western Australia, Mr Ian Gay, said the increases were in line with Qantas’ commitment to support the resources sector, specifically the mining industry, in Western Australia. “These new and upgraded services will result in Qantas operating 146 return flights per week from Perth to the regional destinations of Broome, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Newman, Paraburdoo and Port Hedland,” Gay said.
