Qantas has unveiled a new version of its iconic advertising campaign, ‘I Still Call Australia Home’. The airline’s Chief Executive Officer, Alan Joyce, said the fourth version of the campaign, which features some of Australia’s best young choristers and, for the first time, the Gondwana National Indigenous Children’s Choir.
“For us at Qantas, ‘I Still Call Australia Home’ is a special campaign that we are very proud of,” Joyce said. “It has always been about Australians exploring the world but, inevitably, feeling the call of home.”
Joyce said the involvement of the Gondwana National Indigenous Children’s Choir was the first time Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures had been such a prominent part of the campaign’s narrative.
“We felt it was the right time to create an ‘I Still Call Australia Home’ that would build on the campaign’s 10 year heritage in a modern and relevant way.”
He added that it was important to invest in the Qantas brand and reputation at a time of unprecedented downturn for the aviation and tourism industries.
“This a tough operating environment but that only makes it more important for us to rekindle Australians’ love for travel and adventure, both abroad and across our remarkable Australian continent.”
The campaign will be rolled out across Australia.
