Cunard’s flagship, Queen Mary 2, the largest ship ever to visit Australia made history last week when she berthed at Sydney’s Circular Quay for the first time on completion of her 22 night circumnavigation of that country. Requiring no tug assistance, Queen Mary 2 undertook the docking manoeuvre in 40 minutes; she is a mere five metres short of the tip of the Opera House but 52 metres too tall to fit under the Harbour Bridge.
