The Palm Jumeirah is fast expanding with key hotel developments; one of the new entrants is R Hotels, the hospitality division of R Holdings. The new plan announced is an AED500 million ((US$ 136.2 m) four-star resort and spa development which is the Group’s sixth property. The completion of this project is expected by Q4 of 2016.
This will be the first sharia-compliant resort featuring 259 rooms and facilities including a spa for men and women, gym, and swimming pool. The property also plans to offer wellbeing treatments and fitness and nutrition programs.
The resort will cater to both leisure and business guests with its all-day dining restaurant and poolside bar. For children, the hotel will offer a supervised indoor and outdoor play area, and special kids’ entertainment.
R Hotels currently owns and manages Ramada Hotel and Suites Ajman, Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman, Ramada Downtown Dubai, and Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham in Jumeirah Beach Residence.
The fifth hotel at Al Mina Road in Jumeirah is expected to open in Q2 of 2015. The new properties are part of the group’s AED1.5 billion (US$ 408.7 m) investment plan.
