Travel agents across India will get a chance to learn more about Rail Europe products. Rail Europe India will conduct a series of training programmes for retail agents, global sales agents (GSAs) and their sub-agents across India from 5-23 October 2012.
The training sessions will be held in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai. Jason Tarabo, trainer from the head office in Paris will conduct these sessions.
Commenting on the training programme, Kunal Kothari, Executive Director for Rail Europe India Pvt Ltd, (REIPL) said, “This is the first time we have planned a series of training programme for agents in India, keeping in mind our ‘India Focus’ initiative. We understand that only when they are informed about our various products they can promote them and advise the buyer appropriately.”
“The training requirements of a GSA and their sub-agents are different from that of a retail agent. The GSAs and their sub-agents have our unique ticket booking and printing distribution system called ‘Euronet’ installed at their respective offices. So training for such agents would involve products as well as ‘Euronet’ education. On the other hand, retail agents need to understand the products and thus their training will be focused on the products only,” Kothari added.
Rail Europe will also be organising a training session in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
