Wyndham has sealed a contract to expand its Ramada brand in Australia.
The company has taken over the Marina Quays International at Hope Island, which is currently undergoing a AU$4 million (US$3.5m) refurbishment, and rebranded it as the Ramada Hotel Hope Harbour Gold Coast.
A waterfront resort, the property will feature 99 rooms and six suites, two F&B outlets, a 247-berth marina, two outdoor swimming pools, a spa and fitness centre. It will also offer 275m² of function space.
“The Gold Coast is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations and a key Australian city for both leisure and business travel,” said Barry Robinson, president & managing director, Wyndham for Southeast Asia & Pacific Rim.
“We have been actively seeking to expand the Ramada brand here and are delighted to announce this partnership with Anthony Moreton Group for Ramada Hope Harbour.”
Ramada Hope Harbour will join Wyndham’s portfolio of more than 30 Ramadas in Southeast Asia and the Pacific region. It will also become the second Ramada to open in the Gold Coast area over the past two years, following the addition of Ramada Couran Cove Island Resort in July 2013.
