The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) hosted a record number of events in 2014.
The facility handled a total of 1,759 events last year, an 11% increase over the previous record of 1,565 set in 2013. Delegate numbers climbed 0.5% year-on-year to 1.97 million.
The centre, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, has now handled 9,969 events and more than 17.6m delegates since opening in June 2005.
And 2015 looks set to be another busy year for KLCC, which has already been booked for a series of major events. These include the ASEAN Finance Ministers Meeting 2015, the Global Food Safety Conference, Human Genome Meeting, Global Round World Scholar Cup 2015 and the Annual Meeting of the Asia Pacific Association of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons.
To celebrate its 10th year, KLCC has devised a new strapline, ‘Focusing on Perfection, Always, Celebrating 10 Enriching Years’.
