Luxury tour operator Carrier has revealed the peak sales period has been one of the busiest trading months in its history.
Sales at the operator for travel in 2015 have increased more than 22% with January revenue close to £5m for the first time.
Bookings through the trade are up 30% year-on-year, with all destinations seeing a boost including Indian Ocean & Arabia, Caribbean and Europe.
Turkey and Greece particularly have seen large increases with the D-Hotel in Bodrum and Ikos Olivia in Halkidiki proving popular.
Steve Kimber, managing director at Carrier said: “We are delighted to report the strong early season booking performance Carrier has achieved. The UK economy is buoyant, and the strong pound is also benefitting holidaymakers who in turn are now booking much further ahead. The volume of enquiries coming in daily is extremely reassuring and we have every indication of more successful weeks ahead.”
