Regal signs hotel in Wuhan

Regal Hotels International has signed a new five-star hotel in the central Chinese city of Wuhan. Scheduled to open in 2014, the new Regal Hotel will be located in the Dongxi Lake district of the city, overlooking Wuhan’s horse racing course. The 26-storey hotel will feature 300 guestrooms, a coffee shop, lobby lounge and Chinese restaurant. Other facilities will include a grand ballroom, several meeting rooms, a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, chess room and beauty salon.
Belinda Yeung, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer of Regal Hotels International said; “We are honoured and excited in collaborating with (hotel owner) Wolong Holding Group in opening this new hotel. This new addition, together with our soon to be opened Regal Yuhong Hotel in Zhengzhou, will further expand our brand presence and network in two leading cities and transportation hub in central China.”
Currently Regal Hotels manages six hotels in Hong Kong and another six in mainland China. It also has a pipeline of more than 8,000 rooms, including properties in Chengdu, Foshan, Kunshan, Suzhou, Wuhan and Zhengzhou.
