Regular direct flights between Taiwan and China start in July

Thelaunch of the regular flights is the result of one of the agreements signedbetween Taiwan and China last April 26 in Nanjing
A totalof 270 flights a week will be provided, with Taiwanese and Chinese airlinesdividing the services in equal proportions.
On theTaiwanese side, the largest air carrier, China Airlines, will operate 30flights and its affiliate Mandarin Airlines 25. The Evergreen Group will seeits EVA Airways receive a quota of 30 and its Uni-Air 25.
TransAsiaAirways will operate 24 flights a week, while on the route between Taichung and Shenzhen,Mandarin and Uni-Air will alternate, the CAA said.
