The Rendezvous Grand Hotel Singapore and adjoining retail podium Rendezvous Gallery are completing a SG $25 million upgrade programme
The Rendezvous Hospitality Group (RHG) is undertaking a major rebranding exercise. Rendezvous Hotels and The Marque Hotels will be rolled into a single Rendezvous brand, under which there will be three distinctive tiers geared and different market segments.
Rendezvous Grand Hotels will provide superior accommodation to upscale discerning travellers, Rendezvous Hotels will target upper-midscale mindful travellers, and Rendezvous Studios will offer compact hotel accommodation to midscale value-conscious travellers.
The first Hotel in the group to be renamed and relaunched under this new model will be Rendezvous Grand Hotel Singapore. The property is currently undergoing a SG$25 million (US$19.7 million) upgrade, which will be complete in December. Rendezvous Hotel Auckland, Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne, Rendezvous Hotel Perth and The Marque Hotel Perth are also currently undergoing work as part of a group wide multi-million dollar refurbishment effort.
Group Chief Executive Officer, Eric Teng, said; “We have exciting plans to improve our product and we intend to build on our strengths as a provider of superior, value accommodation for business people travelling for work and/or leisure who want a unique hospitality experience.” He added that this realignment and investment in refurbishment will boost the Group’s growth potential and signals a long-term commitment and intention for growth in key destinations throughout the Asia Pacific region.
