RezLive.com, the B2B Global Reservation System has concluded 2013 with an increased presence across the Middle East. The company doubled its team presence in Dubai and Kuwait; new offices in Riyadh and a plan to cover a pan-GCC presence in terms of sales force in the pipeline.
Jaal Shah, group managing director, RezLive.com talks to Travel Daily Middle East about the company’s growth plans for 2014. “We have had a very positive growth phase in 2013 and look optimistically at this year. We also see great potential in smaller markets such as Jordan where we growth for our products.”
Expanding in the Middle East is just the tip of the iceberg. The company took on a general sales agent in Mauritius, which opens up the North Africa market. The year 2014 will see increased investment in technology.
“Our business is about people visiting our domain and buying. This means our domain is getting populated but the online distribution needs some enhancements. We will be adding an air component as well as consolidating our low cost carrier offerings. There will be an increased focus on sales in the Middle East and GCC region. We would also look at whole-selling both hotel and air content to agents. This will be a value add for our customers,” added Shah.
The whole-selling concept will first be adopted in India, further moving on to Dubai and then later to other markets. Shah is of the opinion that the online whole-selling concept should be successful as the concept is not explored fully. The markets were RezLive.com will focus will be Middle East and Africa while also looking at more office locations in Saudi Arabia.
