Ritz-Carlton has opened its first hotel in Kazakhstan.
The new 145-room luxury hotel is located at the top of the 37-storey Esentai Tower in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s biggest city, making it one of the highest hotels in Central Asia. All rooms will include in-room safes with power outlets for laptops, iPod docking stations and marble bathrooms, while the hotel will also feature F&B outlets, including a steakhouse and sky bar.
Other facilities include a business centre, spa and more than 900m² of meeting space.
“We are delighted to bring the Ritz-Carlton brand to Kazakhstan. Almaty is a key gateway city for our customers and this hotel complements the portfolio of Ritz-Carlton properties around the globe beautifully,” said Herve Humler, Ritz-Carlton’s president & chief operating officer.
“Almaty is a dynamic city attracting visitors from all over the world and we are excited to be here.”
The launch of Ritz-Carlton’s first hotel in Kazakhstan continues the luxury brand’s recent expansion in Asia. In recent months the company has also launched its first hotels in Chengdu, Tianjin and Bengaluru.
