The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, has announced plans to introduce an exclusive new brand extension, Reserve, with the first property set to open in the Krabi, Thailand, on 1 March, 2009.
The Ritz Carlton Reserve will offer unique resorts in secluded and naturally beautiful locations around the world. With an emphasis on personalised, bespoke experiences, Reserve guests will be allowed to tailor their visit to suit their needs.
The Thailand property will be a 54-villa and pavilion boutique hotel on Krabi’s Phulay Bay. High walls with even taller ‘hedges’ made from indigenous trees shield guests from the outside world. All guests are treated to a traditional welcoming ritual and in-room check-in. The Phulay Bay resort will also feature the 11-treatment room ESPA spa.
“The Ritz-Carlton Reserve will feature signature, one-of-a-kind boutique resorts positioned in unique settings, each with a distinctive personality and sense of place reflecting its history and culture,” said Simon F. Cooper, Ritz Carlton’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “A refuge from the expected, Ritz-Carlton Reserve is for travellers seeking to discover a singular location and peerless resort that will offer guests’ exotic, hand-selected ‘hideaway’ destinations in a relaxed, casually elegant atmosphere. Phulay Bay in Thailand is a natural choice for the first resort,” Cooper added.
