Ritz-Carlton has continued its rapid expansion in China with the signing of a new hotel in Nanjing.
Following an agreement with the Nanjing New Universe Real Estate Development Co, the luxury hotel company will debut in the central Xiejiekou district of the city in the first quarter of 2015.
The latest announcement follows the recent launch of new Ritz-Carlton hotels in Chengdu and Tianjin.
“Nanjing represents a strategic growth opportunity for the Ritz-Carlton as we double our growth in China,” said Victor Clavell, Ritz-Carlton’s vice president for Asia Pacific.
“Spectacular hotels in prime locations with the right partners will allow us to create even more new and exciting experiences for our global affluent guests.”
The Ritz-Carlton Nanjing will offer 297 rooms and 32 suites, plus four F&B outlets, a spa, indoor pool and fitness centre. It will also feature extensive meeting space, including a ballroom and seven function rooms.
Following the recent openings, Ritz-Carlton now operates 10 hotels in eight Chinese cities – Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Sanya, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Tianjin.
