Hong Kong-based Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has launched Asaya, its new global wellness brand.
To be rolled out at Rosewood properties worldwide from 2017, Asaya covers the full health and fitness spectrum, from alternative therapies and specialist treatments to nutrition coaching, organic ingredients and fitness programmes. Hotel guests will also be able to meet with visiting wellness experts.
“Wellness is becoming more significant in our day-to-day lives, in the ways we work, eat, sleep and socialise,” said Niamh O’Connell, Rosewood’s group vice president of guest experience & wellness. “Recognising the gaps that exist in the luxury hotel spa arena, we created a concept that will help establish a foundation of wellbeing, offering fluid and flexible solutions to individual needs.”
Guests will initially conduct discussions with lifestyle coaches, nutritionists and therapists. Those wanting a full wellness break can also choose to stay in special Asaya Suites, which feature a separate sleeping, living and therapy areas. Special villas will also cater to small groups, with dedicated treatment areas and hydrotherapy zones.
Guests will be able to choose from a range of indoor and outdoor fitness activities, from yoga and tai chi to spinning, boxing and fitness boot-camps, while the hotels’ fitness centres will be fitted with Technogym equipment and are designed to be “social gathering places”.
The Asaya concept will initially be launched at Rosewood Phuket, which is scheduled to open in April 2017. Other Asayas will be then rolled out at Rosewood properties around the world, including the first city location at the new Rosewood Hong Kong in 2018.
