In a recent development, Rotana has announced signing of a new agreement to manage a new ‘Arjaan Hotel Apartments by Rotana’ property, for the first time in Morocco.
The 140-key property will offer high-end shopping, entertainment and residential options in Marrakech. Catering to both business and leisure travellers, the property will feature three dining outlets, meeting rooms, conference and banquet halls, a swimming pool, and Bodylines Fitness & Wellness Club.
“Our new property will cater to both tourists and long stay guests who are looking at this destination,” said Omer Kaddouri, president and CEO, Rotana.
The M Avenue offers a mix of premium hotels, residences, offices, retail outlets, restaurants, cafés, art galleries and exhibition venues, along a 500-metre-long promenade entitled ‘Garden Avenue’.
Marrakech hosted 1.89 million tourists in 2014 with six m overnight stays. The increase in international visitor arrivals was driven by a number of factors including re-introduction of several airline routes that had earlier been suspended during economic downturn, as well as the city’s steady emergence as a major MICE and events tourism destination.
