Royal Brunei has signed a new agreement that will enable its passengers to travel to Tokyo.
Under the new codeshare deal, passengers on Royal Brunei’s direct flights from Brunei to Hong Kong will be able to connect with Hong Kong Airlines’ direct services from Hong Kong to Tokyo.
Royal Brunei will place its ‘BI’ code on the daily Hong Kong-Tokyo Narita flights while Hong Kong Airlines will place its ‘HX’ code on the daily Bandar Seri Begawan-Hong Kong services, enabling one-stop, single-ticket travel between the capitals of Brunei and Japan.
“[Royal Brunei] would like to warmly welcome on board Hong Kong Airlines as our latest codeshare partner. Hong Kong Airlines has over 30 destinations in their network that RB does not fly to. RB customers now have a choice to travel to Tokyo via Hong Kong on board with Hong Kong Airlines. Through this partnership, RB and its passengers will benefit from the bigger joint network and more choices,” said Karam Chand, CEO of Royal Brunei.
Sales for the codeshare Hong Kong-Bandar Seri Begawan flights open on 8 September 2016, while the sale of the joint Tokyo flights starts in November.
