The line’s holidays will target families on five to nine-night itineraries to Bermuda, The Bahamas and the Caribbean onboard Oasis of the Seas, Allure, Freedom, Explorer and Grandeur of the Seas. On Friday the firm opened bookings for 67 sailings through August 2014.

“Summertime is the best season for the entire family to share in a holiday that combines the award-winning entertainment and innovative features that can only be found on Royal Caribbean,” said Lisa Bauer, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Royal Caribbean International.

“These new summer 2014 cruises continue our year-round commitment to Northeast and mid-Atlantic holidaymakers, as well as to guests from around the US, Canada and the world. Guests will enjoy an incomparable experience onboard these industry-acclaimed ships that are designed for wow.”

Explorer of the Seas will alternate five-night Bermuda itineraries and nine-night Bermuda and Caribbean itineraries on Saturdays and Thursdays, departing from Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, New Jersey.

From Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas will sail Saturdays and Sundays and alternate seven-night routes covering Eastern and Western Caribbean. Freedom of the Seas will also alternate seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, departing every Sunday from Port Canaveral.

The recent revitalisation of Grandeur of the Seas included five new dining venues, a pool-side LED screen and new aerial entertainment in its six deck ‘Centrum’. The ship also features a new Diamond Lounge and Concierge Lounge for the cruise line’s valued Crown & Anchor Society members and suite guests, a Royal Babies and Tots Nursery, along with a renovated Viking Crown Lounge that features a new menu of bite-size appetisers.
