Royal Caribbean has announced its third Quantum class ship will be named Ovation of the Seas.
The naming was confirmed as the first piece of steel was cut in the Papenburg shipyard where construction started on the 167, 800-ton ship.
Ovations of the Seas will be delivered in autumn 2016 following the introduction of Quantum of the Seas later this year and Anthem of the Seas next year.
All three will feature dancing roboscreens; robotic bartenders; a skydiving experience named Ripcord by iFLY and the North Star pod that takes passengers more than 300 feet above the sea.
The ships will carry 4, 180 passengers each spanning 16 decks.
The order of Ovation of the Seas was confirmed in December 2013 when financing of EUR367 million was secured.
