Royal Caribbean International will play host to the ‘at-sea’ premieres of DreamWorks Animation’s film ‘Kung Fu Panda 2’ this summer, with a special 3-D screening. Guests sailing on Allure of the Seas, Oasis of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas from June through August 2011 will have the opportunity to see the 3-D animated film at sea while it is still in movie theatres across the globe.
The cruise line will host a series of red-carpet premieres, which will be celebrated onboard Oasis of the Seas on 4 June 2011, Freedom of the Seas and Allure of the Seas on 5 June 2011, and 18 June 2011 for Liberty of the Seas. Screenings will run until the end of August 2011.
In conjunction with the movie, the cruise line will launch a new summer package called ‘Pandamonium’, which includes VIP seating at one of the onboard Kung Fu Panda 2 premieres and a range of other extras.
As an extension of the DreamWorks Experience summer programming, the Oasis-class ships will feature a series of Boardwalk family festivals. These will take place three to four times per sailing until the end of August, with features including face-painting, live performances, and special kids’ activities.
