RTA, Atlantis launch the ‘Blue Abra’

Promoting environmental initiatives, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Atlantis. The two parties have come together to launch launching a new electric-powered Blue Abra. This new development is in line as part of their joint endeavours to actively contribute to use of green energy in Dubai.
In the first stage two blue abras will be operated wherein each abra can accommodate six riders. The 20-minute trip starts off at Al Naseemi Beach and reaches the Splash Park.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the RTA by Dr Yousef Mohammed Al Ali, CEO of Public Transport Agency, and on behalf the Atlantis Hotel by Serge Zaalof, president and managing director of Atlantis, The Palm in the presence of directors and managers of both parties.
