RwandAir orders new Bombardier jets
RwandAir has placed a firm order for two Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen regional jets.
The transaction also includes options for two additional CRJ900s, and will be worth US$185 million if the options are exercised.
RwandAir will become the first operator of CRJ900 in Eastern Africa. The aircraft will have a capacity of 50 passengers and will served regional routes from RwandAair’s home base at Kigali airport.
The airline’s fleet currently comprises two Boeing 737-800s, two B737-500s and a Dash8-200.
