Sands China hosts Bangkok roadshow
Sands China showcased the range of facilities offered at the Sands Cotai Macao to the Thai travel trade recently, with a product seminar at Conrad Bangkok.
The event was designed to boost awareness of the new resort in the Thai market, to coincide with launch of THAI Smile’s flights between Bangkok and Macau this month.
“The Thai market is getting increasingly important to Macau,” said Brendon Elliott, Venetian Macau Ltd’s Vice President of Sales & Resort Marketing. “Macau welcomed close to 200,000 Thai visitors in 2011 and there was a year-on-year increase of 27.3% for Thai arrivals in package tours in the first four months of 2012, with many of them having visited our popular integrated resort city on the Cotai Strip.”
“With the introduction of THAI Smile direct flights between Macau and Thailand, it is surely a great way to attract more Thai travellers to Macau to experience our… integrated resort,” he added.
Opened earlier this year, Sands Cotai Central offers a vast array of facilities including more than 111,000 square metres of retail, entertainment, dining and meeting & convention space, 27,000 square metres of gaming space, four ballrooms, two spas, three health clubs, more than 20 food & beverage outlets and 92 shops.
It also offers a range of accommodation options, including the 1,224-room Holiday Inn Macao Cotai Central, the world’s largest Holiday Inn, and the Conrad Macao which offers 842 luxury rooms and suites. Opening later this year will be the 3,863-room Sheraton Macao Hotel – the world’s biggest Sheraton hotel.
