Saudi Arabia visas on the rise

Recent statistics from VFS Tasheel International reported that the organisation processed 162,018 visa applications in 2014 for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
VFS Tasheel further added that Dubai led visa applications number with 85,418 applicants while Abu Dhabi processed 37,878 applications and Sharjah 38,722. In the Middle East, VFS Tasheel has 18 centres operational so far. The entity processed over 546,025 visa applications in 2014 from UAE, Jordan, Egypt and Bahrain.
Shankear Kannaiyan, senior vice president, VFS Tasheel said: “On an average, in the UAE over 700 visa applications are processed daily across three centers due to our efficient approach. Globally, we now have 46 visa processing centres operational across 20 countries and these centres have handled in excess of 850,000 visa applications in 2014. The indications so far in Q1 of 2015 are that visa applicant counts will continue to significantly increase.”
The collaborative enterprise has been mandated to process visa applications and provide biometric enrollment services to KSA in 33 countries, and when all of its centres are completely operational, the entity is expected to handle 6.5 m visa applications every year.
