Scoot will launch flights to Kaohsiung this summer, marking the airline’s second destination in Taiwan.
Commencing on 9 July 2015, the Singaporean low-cost carrier will operate three weekly flights direct to Kaohsiung using its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
“Singaporeans simply love Taiwan, but there’s so much more to Taiwan than just Taipei. Scoot is therefore delighted to launch a direct service between Singapore and Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s second city,” said Campbell Wilson, CEO of Scoot.
The new flights will depart Singapore’s Changi Airport every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays at 0755, arriving in Kaohsiung at 1210. The return flights will then leave the Taiwanese city at 2130, getting back into Singapore at 0150.
The new route will operate alongside Scoot’s existing 10 weekly flights to Taipei.
