Scoot expands Chinese network
Scoot has launched a new route to mainland China, with the start of services connecting to the northeast cities of Qingdao and Shenyang.
Flights to the two cities took off for the first time on Friday, and will now operate three times per week. Service depart Singapore’s Changi airport at 0130, arriving in the port city of Qingdao at 0730 for a one-hour stop, before finally touching down in Shenyang at 1015. The return service will leave Shenyang at 1120, arriving in Qingdao at 1250, and departing one hour later. The flight finally touches back down at Changi airport at will 2000. All flights will be operated using a 402-seat, two-class Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
“With Chinese New Year just around the corner, it’s a great time for Scoot to be launching the first non-stop flights between Singapore and Qingdao, and the first same-plane, wide-body service to Shenyang,” said Scoot’s CEO, Campbell Wilson.
Scoot now flies to eight destinations from Singapore: Sydney, Gold Coast, Bangkok, Taipei, Tianjin, Tokyo, Qingdao and Shenyang.
