Adventure travel firm Wilderness Scotland has started to sell its products through UK travel agents.
The active and nature-based holiday company has appointed Russell Murray as business development manager who will lead its new partnerships.
It will offer commission rates from 10% on guided holidays and 5% on self-guided breaks, hoping to take advantage of the exposure Scotland went through during the Commonwealth Games and referendum.
Murray said: “Having recently joined the company, I am eager to establish new partnerships with UK travel agents who have an interest in selling adventure travel and wilderness experiences to Scotland’s most beautiful and remote regions.
“After the seemingly never-ending summer of 2014 when both the Commonwealth Games and the referendum raised the profile of Scotland, travel agents are likely to find that rural Scotland will have a far broader appeal next year. What became clear this year was how much Scotland has to offer holidaymakers through its culture, landscapes and its people.”
Wilderness Scotland has a five-star award in VisitScotland’s quality assurance scheme and offers activities including wilderness walking, sea kayaking, mountain biking, sailing and more.
Sister brand Wilderness Ireland will also be introduced to travel agents in the coming months.
